Olivine and CO2

“SmartStones” is our nickname for a mineral called Olivine *)

  • Global warming and its disastrous effects can be prevented.
  • Technically this is stunningly simple.

Just expose carbondioxide to Olivine, the ‘Natural CO2-catcher’. The challenge lies in upscaling this natural, geological process. Such “return to nature and natural methods” has not often taken place in the short history of human mankind.

  • Possibly of crucial importance for the future of this planet.
  • “Mine it, mill it, spread it !”

*) Wikipedia: The mineral olivine (when gem-quality also called peridot) is a magnesium iron silicate with the formula (Mg,Fe)2SiO4. It is a common mineral in the Earth’s subsurface but weathers quickly on the surface.
